Alhamdulillah..alhamdulillah..alhamdulillah..
Sorry dik for writing in English this time. First because I want to polish my English up, it gets worsened by time (so you can see grammatical errors everywhere in this post..huhu..). Secondly because the following video which I tried to make a note out of it, is in English! So it's easier for me to just jot down what Bro. Nouman Ali said without the hassle to translating it into Malay. But insyaAllah, if I have more time in future, I'll try to make notes in Malay, perhaps more people can benefit from it. And you adik, start reading English articles from now, without neglecting our Language of Jannah; Arabic. Anyway, this is basically one of my efforts to use, enrich and organize my time throughout my new PhD life insyaAllah.
May Allah increase our understanding of His deen!
Enjoy this 1st episode of Face d Book (FB) Series...

4 types of Arabic Language:
- 'Ammiyyah (spoken arabic)- today's dayly arabic in arab countries in Middle East- not easily understandable, unless you stay and live with the people
- Fushah (proper/modern standard arabic)- due to expansion and globalisation of Islam, non-arabs ('ajam) become majority, arabs travelling all over the world deteriorate in their language proficiency
- Ancient arabic- due to isolation, so purer and more refined language, the only thing to be proud of, poems and idioms using imaginative and picturous words e.g. heavy rain doesn't get along with a house on the top of a mountain (people closer to the God who is pouring down rizq, aren't rich, because the wealth is with those further away from Him)
- Quranic arabic- incomparable to other arabics, the perfected ancient arabic
Allegations to the Quran (and to Rasulullah s.a.w):
1) Poetry (sha'ir)- al-Haqqah: 41, at-Tur: 30
2) Sihr/magic (sahir)- az-Zariyat: 52, Saad: 4
3) Words of a fortune teller/mind reader (kahin)- mumble-jumble words, non-understandable words- al-Haqqah: 42, at-Tur: 29
4) Plagiarized from Bible/previous kitaab (asateerul awwaleen)- al-Anfal: 3, al-Qalam: 15, al-Mutaffifin: 13
5) Words of insanity (majnoon)- at-Tur: 29, az-Zariyat: 52

The miracles of Quran can be acknowledge and experienced more by learning the ancient arabic at least, not just by translation or proper arabic.
'Surah' is commonly translated to 'chapter'. But in a chapter of a book, there is no repetition in a chapter from other chapters like Quran does, as if there is no chronological, subject or size orders in Quran, as if it has no structure or chaotic. So it is not accurate to translate 'surah' as 'chapter' of the Quran. But know that every surah in the Quran is inter-related and has its own chronology IF we understand the Quranic arabic.
'Ayah' is translated to 'verse', which relates to song, poem and biblical content. But Allah says, Quran is not a poetry! And it is not plagiarized from other kitaab! Plus, it has an ayah with only one word (ar-Rahman)! And a few ayahs that has a grammatical connection between them, but separated different ayahs (3 first ayahs of al-Fatihah)! So how can we translate 'ayah' as a 'verse' in the Quran?!
Micro level miracles
al-Isra', 96- kafa billahi shahidan baini wabainakum...- This ayah ends speaking about Allah, so it starts by mentioning Allah first
al-Ankaboot, 52- kafa billahi baini wabainakum shahidan...- This ayah ends speaking about humans, so it starts by mentioning humans
al-An'am: 151- wala taqtulu auladakum min imlaq...nahnu narzuqukum waiiyahum- This ayah refers to the wealthy men ('min' in this ayah refers to the wealth that is already present) of Quraysh who killed their children because they didn't want them to waste their wealth. Allah said that He is the one who provides for THEM and THEIR CHILDREN.
al-Isra': 31- wala taqtulu auladakum khashyata imlaq...nahnu narzuquhum waiyyakum- This ayah refers to the poor men ('khashyata' in this ayah refers to something being worried in future because of not currently present) of Quraysh who killed their children because they were afraid that their wealth would not be sufficient for them. Then Allah said, He is the one who provides for THEIR CHILDREN and THEMSELVES.
ash-Shu'ara': 106- iz qala lahum akhuhum Nuh
ash-Shu'ara': 124- iz qala lahum akhuhum Hud
ash-Shu'ara': 142- iz qala lahum akhuhum Saleh
ash-Shu'ara': 161- iz qala lahum akhuhum Lut
ash-Shu'ara': 177- iz qala lahum Shu'aiba- Why there is no 'akhuhum' (their brother)? In this ayah, Shu'aib's people are mentioned as Ashabul Aikah (Aikah is a tree that they used to pray). So even though they were his 'brother of Madyan', Allah doesn't want to associate him with his people because he was not worshiping what they were.
al-A'raf: 85, Hud: 84, al-Ankabut: 36- wa ila madyana akhahum shu'aiba- In this ayah, he was referred as their brother of the race (Madyan)
al-Anbiya': 33, Yaseen: 40- kullun fi falakin yasbahun- The ayah 'kullun fi falakin' is a palindrome! It is spelled the same back and forth, and it really represents the meaning of the ayah itself; 'every star has its own ORBIT floating in the sky'.
an-Nisa': 92- wa man qatala mu'minan khataan- The word 'qatala' (past tense, means 'killed') is used to refer a killing by mistake, because such killing only happens once/is not repetitive since it is accidental.
an-Nisa': 93- wa man yaqtul mu'minan muta'ammidan- The word 'yaqtul' (present future tense, means 'kills') is used to refer a killing on purpose, because the killer may kill again and again and again in future, so not just once like killing by mistake!
al-Baqarah: 143- wa kazalika ja'alnakum ummatan wasatan- The word 'wasatan' means 'middle or balanced', and it is in the 143rd ayah of al-Baqarah, which has 286 ayahs. So it is situated at the middle of the surah!
al-Ahzab: 4- ma ja'alallahu li rajulin min qalbaini fi jaufihi- Allah did not put two hearts inside of every man (excluding woman), which is literally correct because when a woman gets pregnant, there are two hearts inside her!
yatadabbaru vs. yaddabbaru
These have the same meaning in proper arabic, but different in ancient arabic. The abbreviated (idgham) form is 'yaddabbaru' (to contemplate/reflect/ponder).
When He speaks about the entire Quran, he uses 'afala yatadabbarunal quran' (an-Nisa': 82, Muhammad: 24), but He uses 'liyaddabbaru ayatihi' (Saad: 29) when speaking only parts of the Quran
Macro level miracles
al-Hajj 22: 31- ...whoever does shirk to Allah, as if he is falling down from the sky, and birds are eating him, and wind blows him away to a far away place...
'Falling from the sky'- when two tribes are fighting, one on top of a mountain and one below, and the top lost and were killed out of humiliation, and the corpses are abandoned
'Birds are heating'- nobody wants to bury, so birds are eating until they have had enough
'Wind blows him away'- until the humiliated corpses just decomposes by time
To be continued...
InsyaAllah for this 'macro-level miracles', I well explain further through other videos by Bro Nouman Ali Khan also, next time.
